Dahlia is one of the main characters in "Celestial Pact". One of last beings with demon blood, a witch of stars who swore on her life to help The Truthkeepers


Appearance

Dahlia is pale, chubby girl with two beauty marks under each of her eyes. Her hair is raven black, long and flowy. Her most signature thing however, are her eyes. Amber with black scelera, a sign of her being a witch. Dahlia likes to wear in dark colours, with an addition of space-themed ornaments that really relate to her abillities. She's rather silent, but confident in her doings. Ready to sacraiface herself if needed (I'll drop the design soon I promise)


Lore

Dahlia was born as a daughter of a mortal man and a demon, who she never knew. Her relation with her father was rather positive, yet after cutting ties with his ex partner, he joined Fate Society as one of the soliders. Unaware, Little Dahlia thought he's just an avarage police officer. At young age, her witch "features'' weren't in fact visible yet, thus making her safe in the mortal world. She was an absolute book worm, learning way faster than other of her peers.

One day however, eveything went downhill when her father died in a tragic accident, while fighting off an unknown being, possibly a Titan. Fate Society covered up his death, making Dahlia live alone since then. They were sending her money for living and also "to keep her silent". It was the day she realised on how corrupted this world can be.

While growing up on her own, she started to feel weirder day by day. As if something was about to break through her body. She was nervous and anxious everyday. Until one day,a tragedy occured. As she was walking through the park, a drunk guy started to approach her. Scared, Dahlia waved her hand at him, accidentally unleashing an energy force, which killed him on instant. Horrified, she started to look arouund for help. She killed him. She killed a civilian. But..how?! Suddenly, everything went black, and she found herself in a new area. There were figures around her, staring at her. Their aura made her feel sick. She never saw anyone like that. One of the gods spoke out her name, claiming that she is guilty of breaking one of the parts in Demon Codex. Confused, she answered, that she never even heard of it and the thing she did was an accident, as Dahlia was unaware of her powers. The judging gods didn't care and sentenced her to a cruel fate: She either dies giving up herself for someone with "Pure blood and mind" or goes more insane as she grows up and eventually turns into a half-titan, without even ability to think logically. Just a monster. That is a "Sinner's" Fate.

Dahlia was sent back to her room, as if nothing happened. But thought of being marked as a "Sinner" made her feel ill. How is she supposed to reverse it? Why her? She has noticed a sudden change in her eyes; her scelera turned pitch black. How is she supposed to live normally now? After a small research about gods, she has decided to go search for Raito, hoping for help. At first, the goddess didn't look willing to help, as she was aware of Dahlia's judgement. But seeing a girl tear up in front of her like that...as a sworn protector of women, she had no other choice, but to help her despite her curse.

Upon hearing of "HER" slow awakening, Dahlia decided to join in the mission of Truthkeepers, praying that this deed will also count as something that lifts down her crimes. Luckily, the main guide aka Kashmir was really open towards her, despite Dahlia being a sinner, being just like a brother to her. Him and Raito did their best to teach her control over powers, fighting skills and ability to camouflage among the mortals. They both started to look for more intense in energy spots, to determine where the new soul bearer is. It was...a high school. Dahlia thougt they will find her in some shrine or rich relgious house, not a school. For few weeks, they've used disguisesb to fit into the classes, quietly observing the one they suspected to be the "New Star". Their thoughts were right, and after a rescue mission, Truthkeepers finally united with her.



The power of the Stars

The power of stars lets Dahlia read some fates from them, use astral-related energy in combat, summon light and even use zodiac sign related abilities. Despite using her magic staff in combat most of the time, she can also use tarot cards in combat. Some of them let her summon small, rupture-like portals to certain destinations. This power doesn't have any special known perks on mortals, especially on demon-blooded ones, as demons were always considered "weaker".

  • In disguise she used to "stalk" Amy was rather goth looking.
  • She doesn't feel angry at the gods. Dahlia is more angry at herself.
  • Dahlia is a 100% Lesbian,
  • Her room used to look like a small library, now she has a small dorm-like corner with few shelves,
  • She's actually a pretty good artist, but doesn't draw too often now. She sees it as a waste of time,
  • In the first designs, she was supposed to have cat features. Now only thing remaining from that is a piece of her ornament on Dahlia's witch hat that look like cat ears in some way
  • A relation of her and Amy really brings me thoughts of relation between Kiana and Mei in hi3.
