Luna

Luna is one of the members of The Hunt in The Celestial Pact. One of a few demigods who are unable to use their abilities in full potential, making her depend on her weapons.


Appearance

Luna has a blonde hair with a characteristic bright green streak on bangs and black-green raccoon tails on a front side. Her eyes are "radioactive" green. Luna's most eye catching feature are her raccon traits; a tail, ears and a "Mask" between her eyes, all of that being a small "gift" from her mother, goddess of trickery. She wears in a very urban style, always having her beanie on, she is also commonly seen wearing a blouse thrown on her back. Luna is a rather whimsical character, yet cowardly at the same time when things get too heated up.


Lore

Luna was born as a daughter of a mortal man and a goddess, left in the orphanage soon after. Her unusual features caused her into being bullied by other kids and not really looked forward for adoption. Where she grew up, Fate Societies actions weren't this active, letting her to not worry about that much. She also discovered her ability to lie, which could even shape reality with her will, however the greater lies weren't that easy to make up for her. At some point Luna decides to sneak out and leave the orphanage.

On her journey, she meets Venus, a girl who got really interested in Luna. They started to hang out more and more often. She wasn't sure how to feel about being in a positive center of attention from someone, but she liked it. Luna finds out that Venus comes from a wealthy family, thus why their friendship had to be kept as a secret. She started however to steal things around, just to have some money for food or trinkets for Venus. After a longer while of their relation, she confesses her still unsure feelings towards her, and they start to date. Their happiness didn't last long. Soon after that, her father catches them both interacting. Angry, he grabs his daughter and threatens Luna to never even dare talking to Venus. Broken by this, Luna still keeps appearing in that area, hoping for her girlfriend to come back. It did happen to her luck. This time, Venus proposed for them both to escape far away and start all over, to which she agreed on.

As they both explored a ruined building, thinking on making it a small base for them, a tragedy has occured. When Venus set off to look around, a rubble has fallen right on her, leaving Luna alone and in a massive shock. She tried to retrieve her body, to at least hand her back to her family for the last time. Luna wasn't welcomed there, she was actually blamed for the entire incident. Luna had to leave her somehow stable life again. As she was wandering around, she met one of the Fate Society agents, proposing her a deal; keeping her safe from consequences of a thing, she is blamed for and letting her have a stable roof over her head in exchange of work in their name. She agreed to the conditions and officially became a member. However, because of how low her skill in power usage was. In the meantime, she developed a talent in making poison, which could paralyse the opponents or make them dizzy.

The life there was going well. Until one day, one of the members of her part in the cohort, Harry ran into the room and started to prepare for some escape. Luna wanted to joke about how he acts as if he saw a ghost, but she shrugged the thought off. At the end she decided to join his plan upon seeing him really freak out there. Her, Nechi, Xavier and Harry despite obstacles on their way formed "The Hunt", a lawless organisation. She never heard of the prophercy before, nobody dared to fully explain it. Maybe they didn't really knew what was it about either?



The power of Trickery

Trickery fully depends on mental state and on how good the user can lie or be convincing at least. As long as someone believes in illusions made by a user, it is reality. The more advanced the illusion is, the harder it is to make it look realistic enough. In Luna's case her power mastery is pretty low, allowing her for only simple lies, that are often easy to brush off. Some believe however, that trickery can lead the user into totally losing their mind at some point in their life, leading to mental health issues or even split personalities...

  • Her Voice claim is Cipher from Honkai: Starrail!
  • Luna started off...as a Ninjago OC, going back to around 2016-2018 (can't really remember lol), making her one of my eldest OCs out there,
  • Luna isn't her real name, it is a code name made up a moment she joined The Hunt (on top of that, many characters in this fraction don't use their actual names), her real name however is Selena
  • If she could live a normal life, she would be a streamer of some sort!
  • She wears a leaf pin on her beanie, which references to Tanuki (mostly ones in japanese folcore; as they were also depicted with leaves),
  • Amy really reminds her of Venus,
  • Poisons she did...Luna tested them on herself, letting her develop an immunity to them. Yes it does also imply she can make drugs...
  • Its is really possible, that she is closely related to one of the Divines; The Fool to be specific.
